Past Projects

Grand Designs 2013 & 2018

In both 2013 and 2018 I had the privilege of working with the Live team at Grand Designs. On the first occasion, we were asked to design and build the main cooking demonstration stage where we exhibited with Miele and well known chefs from across the UK. It was a lot of hard work but also lots of fun! I have to say my feet were so tired at the end of each day!

The second time I was asked to become 'An Expert' on their panel of trades to help those who were home building. This involved having booked appointments throughout the event, so that people could ask me for advice and ideas for their kitchens and homes. It was hugely rewarding to be able to help so many people and at least I was sat down this time!

I was able to meet and have a chat with some of the more well known designers from TV, such as Charlie Luxton, George Clarke and of course, Kevin McCloud.

'Best for Ben' - DIY SOS The Big Build

Early 2016 a young family went on holiday and Ben, the father, hadn't been able to return since - following a tragic pool accident which broke his neck.

Here are the photos from the Big Reveal - filmed on Thursday 22nd June 2017.

We were privileged to be able to help with the appliances for the kitchen, in the newly adapted and refurbished home for Ben and his family.

It was a very emotional time for the family to be reunited and the Big Reveal took longer than usual due to having to stop, while family members recomposed themselves.

Apparently, during the build, Princess Anne visited several times, as her fields back onto the property and she was able to walk around the house and garden during low key, informal visits.

Alfrick & Lulsey Community Shop & Cafe

After designing their new community cafe, we were invited to the Opening Day. A great achievement for a great community. The brief was to keep it feeling friendly whilst having all the functionality needed for a cafe. Light Grey Gloss J-profile handleless kitchen with white sparkle quartz. 'Dream' light blue glass splashback all the way around to complement the rest of the decor. A Westin high powered extractor was needed for venting this large vaulted ceiling room.

The Willows Development

In conjunction with Simon Grinnell Homes and Nicol & Co estate agents I was happy to help design the kitchens for the small development of homes in Fernhill Heath, called The Willows. Working to a budget given from the builder, I liaised with the purchasers, to give them a kitchen designed just for them, rather than a standard offering. I think each homeowner had a completely different kitchen and style, which was delivered for them on time and on budget to their properties.

Testimonials

We worked with Zoe in 2018 on our kitchen diner and utility. Zoe took the time to really understand our family, how we wanted to use the room and our “wish list”.

Zoe provided lots of ideas, design inspiration and practical tips, nothing was too much trouble and we did go through a number of iterations before reaching the final design.

We now have a beautiful kitchen but most importantly one which works for our family and where we spend a lot of our family time. Thank you!
